The Faces of POMC

Rebecca Carr

Owner/Head Trainer

I am a retired teacher, with a masters in education. I adopted Phoenix 13 years ago and got her into day school, classes and lessons with a local trainer when some pretty challenging behaviors started to develop. A summer job became a way of life. Once I was introduced to working breeds and protection sports, I was hooked on training instantly and gave up most everything I knew to pursue it. I have been blessed to have met and befriended some incredible other trainers along the way and am always in the pursuit of learning more and doing better. For the last 12 years, coaching relationship, through differentiated instruction for each team has been my thing: pets that you can take anywhere, or sport specific teammates and LE K9 partners.

Alison Ouellette

Lead Trainer

I am a Rottweiler breeder, owner, handler & trainer for all my dogs. I have had rottweilers for 29 years. We actively compete in most all venues in any dog sport there is. I started with POMC as a client with one of my tougher dogs, Midas who loved me but had no respect for me. Rebecca & Nick changed our lives and our relationship. We went onto compete in our first PSA trial when he was 9 years old. I knew then that helping others who struggled with their companions is exactly what I wanted to do. The many friendships that have formed through dog training has been such an amazing addition to our lives. The past 4 years as a trainer with POMC has taught me so much and I am so grateful to call POMC my home.
